You refer to cities by their airport codes. As in, “I went to IAD last
weekend and next Tuesday I’ll be flying to ORD.”
- Oh yes yes yes believe it or nor (or you notice)always do that. I would use ROC, SLC, OMA, for short cut while i am talking about those city while texting or writing. FUNNY!!!
15.
You’ve had your baggage lost, damaged and pilfered through so many times that
you now avoid checking a bag at all costs.
- Yuppers already went through 3 different suitcase last 7 years! However, still check in my bags since can always get new suitcases.
14.
You know the difference between a through flight and a direct flight.
- Ofc I do :)
13.
You’ve memorized various aircraft seat maps and know which seats don’t recline
and which offer extra leg room. You know what the word ‘bulkhead’ means
and you avoid sitting there.
-Not really, I just know where to sit if I have a short layover, long layover, or where I am going. For example, I have a 45 min layover in ALT (Atlanta, GA) on way back from Dominican Republic, best seat near to front as possible so u can get off quicker to make it to my next connection. In addition, I always choose way back of the plane on my last flight, because I know my check-in bag will take forever so take my sweet time get off the plane :-)
12.
When shopping for toiletries, you subconsciously purchase all of your shampoo
and toothpastes travel-sized.
-Not at all, I always pack them in my checked in bag.
10.
Whenever it snows or there’s a thunder storm, you feel a sense of foreboding
and automatically think of flight delays and cancellations, even if you aren’t
flying anywhere that day.
-Yup it does happens to me several times!
9.
You can actually sleep on a plane, (even if your seat doesn’t recline or your
seated next to an infant or the aft lav).
-I used to be able to sleep on the plane very easily but now I noticed am starting to struggle to sleep on the plane. I guess I am getting older and mind those uncomfortable seats. BUT if i have the row to myself I always put my leg on it then will able to sleep well! :)
8.
You can never remember where you parked your car at the airport.
-Never park my car at airport before, have wonderful family and friend to help me out! <3
7.
You carry your passport in your wallet at all times…just in case.
-I used to but now am afraid my purse will get stolen, so put it in a safe place and have it with me every time I fly.
6.
The customer service agents at the ticket counter begin to recognize you.
Some see you so often they begin to wonder if you work there.
-Probably lol
5.
You have multiple wireless hotspot accounts and know where all of the
electrical outlets are at multiple gates, in multiple airport terminals.
-Nah, no need for that. I can survive just fine without those for few hours, however, I got my phone which is good enough!
4.
You have a favorite airport, a favorite airport bar, restaurant, shop, chair.
-Yuppers I do! My fav airport is DTW (Detroit, MI and MSP- (Minn, St. Paul, MINN)... I know where best place to eat in between my flight. Also, know what to get if I ever fly to ORD-(Chicago) one of the airport i AVOID!- they have best popcorn there! YUMMY!!
3.
You can give directions to the nearest airport restroom or coffee shop, and not
just in your home city airport either.
-I think I can do that only for MSP, DTW, OMA, ALT, and ROC which is my most frequency layovers. I can even image what the terminals looks like right now.. :)
2.
You’ve filled out so many immigration forms that you know your passport number
by heart.
-I only flew in-state SAD SAD but looking froward to coming up trips out of America!!!
1.
Checking the time on your watch always involves a quick calculation, because
it’s never set in the right time zone.
