Traveling to Greece is one of a story to tell! First of all, I realized when you are researching different places and it shows you pictures, once you are there in person it's different!!
We took the subway from the airport to Omonoia Square to our hotel. *story*- Once we arrived the Square, the first person we saw was a Deaf Greek Man, and it was pretty neat to chat with him even it was little difficult but got the idea what he was saying!* When arrived our hotel, we unpacked and went for a walk around the area to see what they have to offer. We grab small dinner since Andy wasn't feeling good (Jet Lagged). The next day after I beat the Jet Lag we went to the Acropolis and museums. Later that night we scrolled around The Plaka (my favorite place in Athens).

Third Day, we took day trip to Hydra Island (more picture on separated post).
Fourth day, we start walking to the Hellenic Parliament the Parliament of Greece. We were lucky to catch the Changing of the guard , it was neat thing to see! After that we decided to hop on the "Hop on Off Bus Tour, since it was HOT outside.
Our first stop was the The Panathenaic Stadium, hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.

Stature of Phidippides |
One neat history, I learned about how the term Marathon came alive. Phidippides, Greek messenger ran from Marathon to Athens to deliver news of a military victory against the Persians in the Battle of Marathon. He ran about 240 km (150 mi) in two days. Once he arrived to the king, he yelled "Joy, we win!'" then collapse and died!
Next stop, The National Archaeological Museum

This museum was very interesting and worth our time! We were able to see more details of objects and different real statues from Ancient Greek period!
Next we went to The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion or Columns of the Olympian Zeus.

Roman Bath |
This was our last stop, we decided to walk through The Plaka to grab dinner on our way back to our hotel. On our way there we found another neat roman bath that was found while making underground metro for 2004 Summer Olympics!
Next day, we walked to ermou street where people go shopping at (one of them), and scroll around then got on public bus for a joy ride all the way down south to Glyfada. We walked around for awhile, had lunch and decided to go back to Athens. We stopped to grab some smoothie on way to hotel since we had to pack for our next trip to Crete.
