Want to help out for the DR trip?

Am sure you all are wondering how you can help us with this trip. There are many ways you can be involved and help with this missionary work.

1: Sponsor one of the children to go to the camp. It only cost $75 per child to go, some of them cannot afford to go to the camp. The fund will help cover for food, bed, transportation, camp t-shirt, and meal.

2: Donate things for the camp, here is a list of some things that would bless: 
- Different colored fabrics for a craft project- each child will make a coat of many colors
- New baseball caps- the boys love baseball-it is the national sport
- Jump ropes
- Yo-yo's
- Blow up pool toys

Sponsor a child

Would you like to sponsor one of the children to go to the camp where I will be going in Dominican Republic. It only cost $75 per child to go, some of them cannot afford to go to the camp. The fund will help cover for food, bed, transportation, camp t-shirt, and meal. (Explained in pictures).

There are about 65-100 kids that be going to camp. Some are already covered by other sponsors or their family can afford to let them go.

Jewelries for DR

We are selling beautiful homemade Jewelries made by two of our missionary leaders. Those will be able to fund for the camp for what they need help with. It could be for camp itself, to keep children entertain with crafts/arts, and much more!

The earrings are ten dollars each pair. Add $2 to the whole package if mail them out. In other words, if someone buys 2 pair of earrings, it will cost $22. If they buy three pair it would be $32 and one pair it is $12. (60 different styles on hand!)

The Bracelets are $20 each. (Have 20 different ones on hand)

We will have a booth set up at Happy Pulse Hour May 11th 4-6, place is not been announced yet. (More accurate information will be posted soon!)

Trip is Booked!

That's right you read it! The flights to Dominican Republic are booked! Am super excited about this opportunity! God is so good. I've always wanted to get out of America and do missionary work. Love it that it's my first time out of America and doing Missionary work- SWEET!

Booked for June 14-26th. Will be flying to NYC for 3 days then leaving NYC on 17th to Santo Domingo, DR. Will be staying in DR for a week till June 26th and myself will be heading direct to Omaha to see my lovely family and friends for month and half! While others will be return to Rochester.

Please pray that our flights will go smoothly! <><

Vaccination =Check!

 Last week I finally got my vaccination for malaria with Passport Heath at University of Rochester Medical Center. Some of the people who are going down didn't get theirs done but for me I rather come back to American with no sicken. You know me I had enough time in the hospital with my kidney stones indents! At the same time they were very wonderful assist with what to do with my IBS, anxiety, and insomnia issues. 

 They also gave me those stuff- am sure you can read and figure what it is for!! I wouldn't want to bring any bugs into the country or back to America. Haha
Am very excited to use them! Also they did give me RX for traveling diarrhea and other one for prevent getting sick with foods (as for needed).


God's amazing by helping us protect from getting ill or anything. Even through I do trust and have faith I will be fine down there, I just prefer to be safe than sorry! <><

Dominican Republic Trip

Welcome to my first Missionary Trip post. I will be heading to Dominican Republic on June 17 to 26th for a week. I am going along with group of interpreting students from RIT, Olg(Deaf) friend of mine from church, and others that went last two years. While am down there will be working with around 30 Deaf Caribbean Children (4-18 years old) at a Christian Deaf camp in Santo Domingo. 

Am very excited about this trip since it be my first missionary trip I've been on!
Will be posting how the process is going for this trip and much more!! Also maybe be blessing to do some posting while am down there.

Weclome!

Hello to my new traveling blog "Faithpacking with Ali"! 

This blog will be focused on my traveling and missionary trips. Noticed I have passion to travel and been traveling lot in the States and Canada! Even looking froward to coming up trips out of the states. Plus enjoy share my experiences and what Lord had done for me on the trips.

I personal like to have it separated from my other personal blog Seek the Lord on My Journey, it will be more organized and less confused for everyone. Since like to post random fun stuff on that blog and be little challenging to scroll down and search for the new post I made related to my travelings. 

Please be patience with me am still working on the design for this blog. Am excited since have excellent ideas for my banner design! Can't wait. Be turned to that!
